Sick chick?

Hi all, I’m a chicken newbie and not sure if this is normal. My 5 week old chicks are being treated for cocci with Corid, this is day three. I saw bloody poo and one baby quickly passed so thought it best to just treat everybody. I picked up one chick this evening and clear liquid came out of her mouth. I held her up tilted forward and a bit more came out. She is eating and drinking, I’m not sure what to do.

Welcome to BYC I do not have any advice for you, as I do not have experience with sick chicks or cocci, but I wish you good luck for your chick. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along shortly.

Sounds like maybe you picked her up after she had a good drink of water. If she is otherwise normal I would say she is ok. I have had this happen personally. Quite the shock.

Thank you, I’m hoping this is the case. I’ll just keep an eye on her.
