My 2 yr old chicken in the last 3 or so days has been closing her eyes a lot, drinking a lot, but haven't really seen her eat anything.
I get home today to find her in a corner, not moving but breathing, she had ants all over her face, she keeps closing her eyes when shes on her feet, when I pick her up she opens them. Not while ago I heard a whimper and she cannot walk for her self, I thought she might be egg bound, but I have checked my self and there seems to be no problems. She never really layed eggs and hers used to be really thin and deformed shaped, I thought this might be a possible issue. She just came out of a Molt aswell.

All answers will be appreciated, I'm pretty sure she won't make the night.

If she isn't eating force feed her. I have this one sick chicken who I force fed yogurt with DE in it. She has also been getting shots of tylan 50. Yesterday I noticed she is doing much better. She is eating on her own and moving around more. Plus she isn't isolating her self from everyone. It is possible she has worms and a respitory issue. Not real sure but what I'm doing is helping so I think I made a good diagnosis.

Unfortunately my beloved hen passed on 2 hours after I posted this, I wish my parents would of considered taking her to a vet a couple of days ago.

Her crop was empty and squishy, I thought maybe sour crop , but she has always been one of those dodgy ones.

Thanks for you help.

Just keep an eye on the birds in your flock. BTW I'm sorry it passed away. I recently had to deal with a hen who had worms bad. By time I noticed it was too late and the next morning she was dead
