One of my chickens has been sick for several days. She goes into the coop early in the evening and sits there, leaning over a bit to the side. She gets up and goes out in the morning but hides all day away from the other 4 girls. She is drinking water but I don't know if she is eating or not. She did not eat any corn on the cob today. The other girls were all over it. She also has yellowish poo on her backside.

It has been miserably hot and none of the girls are laying since the middle of June.

Any advice?

well you should always separate a sick chicken. The reason she hides is because chickens try not to show they are sick. Being sick means that other chickens will peck at her and eventually draw blood, sometimes kill! as for what your chicken specifically has, i cannot help. You could get some medicine from your local feed store! they always have it. when my chickie was sick, i separated her and she kinda healed on her own.

Good Luck!
