Hello Everyone! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend. I have a chicken that Is not acting normal. Her fan is very flopped over, she’s moving slow and looks like she has a slight limp. She is still grazing the backyard with the other five hens I have but defiantly Moving slower. I have also noticed a lot of liquid droppings on the poop board that we have inside the coop. When I got these hens they were not small chicks anymore so they were never handled which makes it almost impossible to catch them. Any advice or ideas of what I should do? I really appreciate all the help.

It would be good to check her over, so wait until she's roosting, then grab her off the roost.

Look for lice/mites, see that her crop is emptying overnight, feel her abdomen for bloat/fluid, look for evidence that she's molting (pin feathers).

Does she lay eggs? Slow moving, slight limp and flopped over comb - reproductive disorders come to mind, possibly beginning of molt.

If it's very hot where you are, make sure they have shade and cool water available. If she's struggling, you may want to pull her aside, but some birds can't stand much separation so use your judgement - often they are better off with the flock unless they are getting picked on.
