Hello,

I have a Serama that is lethargic, has watery nasal discharge, had bubbles in one eye, and some labored breathing. The weird thing is, she also had pretty bright red blood in her poop today. I’m concerned that whatever she’s carrying might be shed for life. I have 11 baby/teenage seramas in this cage, so I am concerned for them. She is separated. What would you do?

How old is she? It sounds like she may signs of a respiratory disease, MG, and I would start her on some Tylosin in her water. Denagard can also be used instead. If she is under 14 weeks old, I might also treat her for coccidiosis with Corid, but since that also goes in her water, I would not give both. If she is grown, blood in her dropping could also mean worms. Valbazen or SafeGuard are commonly used for those. Have you added new birds to your flock recently?
