I have three white leghorns at 22.5 weeks. Two of them have been laying for three weeks. One of them is not as mature - comb slow to grow and not red and floppy - but is otherwise the same in terms of size. This afternoon she didn't want to move and was pushing periodically. Went to the water and drank once and then stood there like she was asleep. Also just standing in the yard. They are out from about 7-8:30 each day. Feed them scratch and peck layer since they've started laying and also oyster shell if they want it. We got her in the coop and she hasn't come out. Figure she needed quiet and dark. Wondering if I can do something for her and if I don't need to let the other two sleep with her. The other two do need to get to the nesting box. They haven't gone in yet. Help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
