This morning I noticed the other chickens beating up on one of my hens. They all ran off to peck at some grass clippings and she was just standing there, kind of dazed. I took her out of the pen and turned her loose in the yard. Slowly, she started coming around and was really thirsty when I gave her some water. Then, I noticed a big blob of white, crusty poop stuck to her butt feathers. What's wrong with my poor chicken?

Here's a pic of her butt.

Read the bottom link. I'm thinking shes got an egg there but can't get it out. I would say clean her butt and try dipping her but in warm water to relax her bottom. And once it's clean have a feel of her vent and see if there's a egg or not, and if there is try helping her.
I've read somewhere on here that someone helped there hen with a stuck egg using a cotton bud. .xx

Definitely clean that off and take a close look at vent and abdomen.
I assume that mess just happened and hasn't been on there for a time?

I noticed it yesterday afternoon and cleaned her up right away. I started treating her for vent gleet. She's still kind of rummy. Could it be that she's egg bound? How can you tell?
