Thanks for getting back to me, it's too late now she died about half an hour ago but she couldn't stand up she would hop, and she had feather's missing off her underneath really lethargic. at the moment there is an outbreak of bird flu in England at the moment. I have more hens so I need to know what to give them if they can be treated I have been keeping chickens for 5 yrs and never had a problem.

If they have bird flu, that's a virus and antibiotics will do nothing for it. If universities in your area do necropsies, you may want to send the girl that died off for one to see if they can tell you exactly what she had.

Thank you she was a mini Bantam unfortunately the university's wouldn't do that here it would have to be a veterinarian. if they tested her and she did have the flu the environmental health would have my chickens slaughtered ,without testing them as they would have been in contact with her.
