Not if the wattles are released quickly, then the bird swallows on her own. If the individual continues to hold the wattles, then yes, aspiration is entirely possible.

I've wormed birds orally on death's door in this manner and have never lost a bird due to aspirating.
Good for you. Although this is possibly the posters first time dealing with this so common sense needs to be brought into the conversation ..Anyways?

Not sure as to your reply ?..I don't need your help. I have many people to ask here if I run into problems?..I never do.
Not the time to fluff feathers. The OP is sad and lost the Bird..
 
I these kind of situations we always feel what if? Why didn't I? To this day I am still sad I did not check on Stan the Man 30 minutes earlier as it was our agreement that he would wait for me to put him in the coop with the girls for the night. I was late due to sickness and he was snatched by a fox. But life ain't perfect. But I learned....
