sick chicken

:welcome!

Are you in the US? If so, a new law went into effect that makes it so that tetracycline can only be gotten through a vet with a prescription, so you can't buy it anywhere. You could ask your vet if they would prescribe it but they would probably want to see the sick bird.

What are you looking to treat your chickens for? There may be some alternate medicine that you can still buy OTC.

I'm pretty sure it is respiratory so i am looking for something to treat that. Any suggestions?

Hey chippyandbuffy sorry to hear that you are having issues and also that, living in Aus and not being an expert on what ails chickens, I am not going to be of much assistance. However, I did just want to mention that you could post on the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures forum where you will hopefully get more assistance.

If you post some pictures and symptoms this will assist with a diagnosis and best treatment regime.

I hope all goes well!
