Sick chicken

She popping good
Should I get some grit or something else for the crop
She still on starter feed and the I give her grass clippings once

Grit works in the gizzard, not the crop.
Beware of too many grass clippings, they can clog the crop.

It's good for them to have some appropriately sized grit from the first week or so.
I usually grab a chunk of sod from near the chicken area to toss in the brooder end of the first week and sprinkle a bit of chick sized grit on top of it.

You can make chick grit available free choice.

Your little one - does she seem to walk o.k.?
I notice she has what looks like sores/lesions on the hocks - what do those feel like, do they ooze fluid at all?
The vent looks like it may also be protruding slightly - does she ever have pasty butt where you have to clean her off?

She walks fine and runs good
Yes on party bum
Yes on pasty butt? What are your brooder temperatures like?
She needs to be drinking well. Pasty butt can be from a number of things - chicks being too hot, sometimes too cold. Dehydration also contributes to pasting as well.

Your brooder needs to only have one warm spot the rest let it be cool. Photos of your brooder set up would be good. Clean the vent and apply an anti-inflammatory ointment to help with swelling or you can use a little coconut oil to help keep the poop from sticking.

Only 1 end of my box is heated. Her bum not as bad as was 2 days ago.
All my other chicks are growing tall in same box.
