my 3 year old silkie hen is making a weird sound that has been going on for a month or two. It sounds like and extended cluck that seems to take a lot of energy out of her. It isn’t a mother hen cluck. She hasn’t been laying and she’s pretty light. We’ve been giving her electrolytes and white powder (I forgot what it’s called) every other day. She still eats and drinks. Could she be egg bound? One time she just perched on the nesting box and there was a lot of tiny droppings from her. I tried to video tape her making the sound but I never got it in time.

No. She’s been broody several times and she is never on the nest unless she’s resting and she doesn’t sit in it she just perched on the side.

What is the 'white powder'?
Don't overdo the electrolytes, maybe once a week and always have plain water available.

I'd isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so you can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.
