Good evening..I have a chicken that has had bright green poop, a swollen squishy belly, having trouble walking, waddles like a penguin, and hasn’t been drinking or eating much. I have been syringe feeding her water with corid in it but no changes. I took her outside to get fresh air and the flies were all over her. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I have no other chickens exhibiting these symptoms. She is a buff Orpington that is about 2 years old. She is not laying eggs at all. I have been soaking her vent area as well in case she is egg bound. She also feels heavier. Thank you in advance for any help. This has been going on for about 7-10 days now.

I'm not sure but sounds like a reproductive issue ... Ascites, Peritonitis or Salpingitis not Egg Bound. Will tag others that for sure know more than me.

Thank you all in advance for any help ASAP

So I just soaked her again and rubbed her belly...i think I feel an egg on her left side but it’s up near the bottom of her rib cage. Will soaking get an egg out that far up?

I'm sorry to hear about your hen.
To me, it sounds like your hen is suffering from a reproductive disorder.
She has not improved at all in the 7-10 days?
If she has fluid in the abdomen, you may be able to drain that to give her some relief, but draining is a temporary measure.
Feeling an egg up near the rib cage (from the outside), I'm just taking a guess, but it sounds like she has a mass or has Egg Yolk Peritonitis or similar. No way to know exactly what it is until a necropsy is performed once the hen passes.
If she is not lethargic, soaking her won't necessarily hurt her, but it will not help pass what's in the abdomen.

I'm very sorry. Sometimes hens can recover for a short period of time when they have reproductive issues, but it sounds like she's not doing very well. Consideration of her quality of life and chances of recovery need to be made.
