Sick chicken

Eggcessive. Spot on diagnosis! I did notice every minute or two that she would shake her head and make a weird noise like a cough. What would be a good course of action for respiratory issues?

But is she doing those things now? If not I would just watch her. The signs of respiratory disease to look for are bubbles in an eye, nasal drainage, confestion or rattly breathing, swelling of an eye or the face, or gasping. Here is a good link for respiratory diseases, such as infectious bronchitis or IB, mycoplasma gallisepticum or MG, coryza, ILT, and others:

Antibiotics are only effective against bacterial diseases such as MG or coryza, but not against viruses such as IB or ILT.

She is gurgling now after a nice quite morning. Definitely a respiratory issue. She is acting more like a chicken, scratching around and pecking at everything in her crate, but sounds like she water in her lungs. Any OTC meds to give her?

Tylosin for the water is very good for treating MG symptoms and which you can still get online here:
https://www.jedds.com/shop/tylan-soluble-100-g/Unfortunately most antibiotics are not available in feed stores, except for injectable oxytetracycline, sometimes in LA200 or other brand. For that you will need syringes with needles to withdraw it from the vial, then remove the needle to give it orally. Dosage is 1/2 ml daily for 5 days.

If you get the Tylosin online, dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 5 days, and should be mixed only by adding water to the powder. Change every 3 days or more often.
