Sick chicken

My hen layed an egg this morning, then came out of the coop and was walking funny, she went back in the coop and just laid there not moving with her eyes closed, like she's sleeping. Very unusual. She's not eating or drinking and had yellowish diarrhea. It's very hot here right now, I've brought her in the house and an keeping her in a box and feeding her water through a syringe. What could be wrong?

Can you insert a clean finger into her vent to check for an egg? Does her dropping look like egg matter or yellow poop and mucus? Pictures are helpful. Has there been any unusual or shell-less eggs laid recently? Coccidiosis or a reproductive problem could be possible. Corid in the water is a treatment for coccidiosis. Electrolytes or Poultry NutriDrench 2 ml given orally would be good as well as the water. It can be safer to hold a lid or small scoop up to the beak to get her to drink. A spoon to the side of the beak may also work.
