Sick Chicken

Hello everyone I have a hen Piper that has developed a sort of abscess and I have searched but can’t find any info on what it might be I have started giving her Pet Rx but doesn’t seem to be helping. She is eating and drinking.
It’s my granddaughter chicken and I am afraid we are going to lose her. I have attached a photo (it looks really bad) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Is it hot, like an infection, or just a growth?

If it's hot/warm, then probably a sinus infection that should be lanced and she'd need antibiotics.

Thank you for the reply. I am trying to find amoxicillin to give her but need a prescription and a vet visit will cost me $100 + unfortunately that is not in my budget. I will try to find a video on how to do the lancing. Do you know of anywhere I can get antibiotics for her without a prescription. I live in California and they won’t ship them here.
