Hello, My 2 month old dewlap Toulouse gosling isn’t feeling well, it’s not keeping up with its two brood mates and just developed what I assume is angel wing last week. I splinted the wing last week, but it didn’t stay on, probably because it was still in the yard. Its eyes are slit and its feathers are not as healthy looking as the others, I just put it in a crate inside the house and gave it drench and probiotics in its water and some feed. Please tell me what to do, I need suggestions.

Try to resilient the wing. If you let it go too long it will be permanent. Splinting only takes 2 to 3 days to correct the twist, and they do manage to get the splint off so replacing it is just something you have to do.

As for the squint, that’s unrelated to angel wing, how long have they been feeling off?

What feed are they on?

Has their appetite changed?

Any other symptoms? Breathing issues, sneezing, coughing, snicking, wheezing? Have you noticed any fluid coming out of the nares or mouth?

How do their droppings look? Normal or have you seen unusual colors like pink, salmon, orange, red, black, bright green, yellow, or mostly white? Are the droppings watery all the time or bubbly?

Have you heard any rumbling or squelching sounds from the abdomen?
