Sick duck! Please help!

I have a duck that all of the sudden is lethargic. Last night she was fine and this morning she was laid over and can't hardly move. She has diarreah and is opening her mouth every few seconds. She has only eaten and drank very minimal amounts. She had a little drool when I got home from work. Not get in my area deals with ducks.

Welcome to BYC, sorry your duck is sick. She sounds very sick and from what you described I fear she might be close to death.

Can you post some pictures and a video? To post video, upload to YouTube or vimeo then copy and paste the link.

If she were mine I would place her in a warm, quiet room.

Can she hold her head up? Are her eyes open?

She is slightly able to hold her head up and her eyes are open and not glossy.

Hmmm?..She is very sick..What do they eat?..location and temperature outside?..Ticks a possible problem?

She is an inside duck only. Our area doesn't allow for us to take our ducks outside. Our other duck is acting just fine. We have been feeding them corn chops and mealworms. Occasionally we give them earthworms.

Does she have nasal discharge? Do you have any human or animal antibiotics?

No nasal drainage. I am at Wal-Mart now looking for any animal antibiotic that will work.
