Hello I've been raising 2 pekin ducks, they are about 11 weeks old. As of recently 1 has been very tipsy. It cant reach its oil gland because it will start to fall backwards. When it gets excited its head bobs all around. I've read a lot on the interwebs, but I wanted someones personal experience.

Thank you in advance for your help

:welcome Are you providing Niacin supplementation? I'd suggest doing so - even a multivitamin supplement. What are you feeding them?
I feed them purina duck pellets, supplemented with brewers yeast. I throw in mealworms and bsfl as well. That is the basis, I add other stuff in to mix it up. Also I put hydro-hen in their water.

I’d try Liquid B Complex just to see if it will help. Many of us here have used it with great success. 1ml daily over a treat. Putting it in water dilutes it too much. TSC carries a good one. It will say injectable but we use it orally

Treats should be very minimal and if your ducks are showing signs of a deficiency treats should be cut out. Brewers yeast does not provide enough niacin for Pekins in most cases. If possible go to your local farm store and purchase Durvet's B complex. I am not sure from your last comment, but are you giving your ducks hydro hen every day? As per the manufacturer instructions hydro hen is for times of stress or to use as part of your first aid. It is not meant to be given every single day. For the head bobbing that is just how ducks flirt.

I'm pretty solid on the food and drink. The head bob isnt like the flirting bob. It's more like a flailing type motion. No disrespect to anyone, like a Parkinson's patient with a buzz. I'm not going to give up on it , just want to get headed in the right direction

Can you upload a video to YouTube and post the link?
