I have a 3-year-old jumbo Pekin duck that has bad arthritis in his left leg he isn't talking that much and has stopped eating but is still drinking. I was wondering what everyone else thinks about this. I don't know if he's just in pain or if he's ready to pass on.

Is he on Meloxicam for pain and inflammation? Or any thing to help? How long has he gone without eating?
I've tried to give him ibuprofen (there is no avian vet nearby) and this is going on day three of not eating I've been giving them water with vitamins and electrolytes

I am going to give you this link not becasue your duck has bumble but just in case you might think this is an infection and the drug to use would be Baytril there is info on where to order and dose in this link.
and this link talks about tube feeding which I would def consider since he hasn't eaten. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/tube-feeding-ducks-updated-5-7-2020.1211994/
Warm Epsom salt soaks can help relieve inflammation and swelling also. Just don't let him drink the water.

The ibuprofen seems too be helping. He is eating and drinking. He is standing and walking but does seem like he's in pain and weak. He still isn't talking much which is not normal for him.

Hopefully he'll start back talking too since he seems to be responding to the pain med.
Good news he is eating again and walking I would think about ordering the Baytril to have it on hand we never know when we may need some and having it is so much better than frantically trying to get it when we need it.
