Sick Duckling? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

No it's not really shrinking:( l

Lucky:3 whenever our ducks lay early they always end up abondonding their babies. Congrats on your ducks:)
How is it looking? maybe try this, now you don't want the duckling to drink this but put some Epsom salt into a small dish pan or something you can float your duck in, then put some nice warm water in and mix it real good try 1/4 cup to 1 pint of warm water, let the duckling sit in this mixture try for 5 minutes. then pat dry and put on the vaseline. see how the prolapse looks in the morning. Epsom salt is also a laxative main reason not to let duckling drink the water it also causes dehydration. May help bring down the swelling though .like a sitz bath. is he still acting like he feels good?

I'll definetly have to try what you said:) thank you so much for taking time to help me! He is acting normal, but I'm not sure what Epsom salt is. Can I use normal salt instead? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question

In a bind I've used table salt, but Epsom is better. You can also put on honey or a bit of preparation h. Just make sure any ointments you use are not the ones with pain meds.

Epson salt can be bought at any Walgreens or drug store winne Dixie and publix also sell it it's in the able with laxative or just ask someone to show you where it is its pretty inexpensive and will work much better.hope your little guy gets better mabe try grinding up so duck pellets to feed him you can get them at a feed store the prolapse may be do to him straining when he pottys.

How is he? I know nothing about ducks but I have subscribed to this thread. I hope your little guy will be okay.
