Help, I am running out of options & 3 of my 4 birds are sick.
It all started 6 days ago with one of my Opal's, she became slow, lethargic & puffed up. I decided to treat the flock with Corid, just to cross out Coccidia.
Now, two days ago another of my Opal's became lethargic, puffed up, walking slowly & watery stool.
After calling about 25 vet clinics in my city, I was able to find a vet that would see/treat chickens (Live in a big urban city). Vet informed its not respiratory, that their temperature is normal & that it might be parasites. He took a poop sample & blood sample. I am waiting for the results to come back, he said 36 hrs. wait time.
He believes they might have parasites, so I am waiting to hear back & see treatment options. Does the symptoms sound right about being parasites? Are my girls are past the way of no return? They look awful today. Assuming they have parasites & I get meds on Friday, what are the chances of them making it? Any other possible causes?
This is my second flock, they are 18 weeks old, they are on Scratch & Peck grower. 3 Opal Legbars (all sick) & 1 Maran, not sick yet...
