Sick guinea pig, help please :(

My sisters guinea pig, 'Buttons', is not looking good. A few days ago my sister got Buttons out to play with her and noticed that she was really skinny. So she started feeding her and her three cage mates waaaay more food, and they ate every last bit of it. Then this morning I went out to feed them, and Buttons was just sitting there with her eyes mostly closed and lots of goobies on them. I took her inside, cleaned her eyes with warm water and a tiny bit of Epsom salts, and right now my sister is giving her water with a teaspoon. Does anyone know what could be wrong with Buttons? She was fine last week, is worms a possibility? Any help appreciated

I raised two guinea pigs. I still have one but the other one passed away because of an pneumonia. The same symptoms you are describing sounds like an pneumonia. I would recomend taking buttons to the vet because there isnt a home remedy. Buttons needs medicine to cure it.

Unfortunately Buttons died around two days later. We are putting it down to her age and the fact that it is Winter at the moment
