Sick Guinea

I have 7 guineas and noticed tonight that one was has a cough that sounds like a hiccup. It was up and ate a little, but seemed lethargic. Any idea what this might be, if its contagious to my other guineas, and what I can do for it.

Respiratory diseases in birds are quite serious and very contagious. But this may not be respiratory; it could be a problem with the crop, for example. It could simply have something stuck that it swallowed. You might try a bit of bread soaked in olive oil.

I'd isolate the bird if it is still having problems.
