First I wanted to say I love your hen....she is so sweet and

Second, my 9 week old chick was doing the same thing 2 weeks ago. He would breathe with his beak open and make a sound like whooooo, it took a couple of days for him to drink on his own. A friend told me to examine the crop, and think about the timeline. With my chick it came on in about 2 hours. So we figured it wasn’t disease, but something mechanical. I also tried to syringe, tried to get it on his tongue but messed up once and caused a coughing fit, so didn’t do it again. Another friend suggested oil of oregano in the water. But long story short I tried everything, and he seemed to get better on his own. Once I took the oil of oregano out and replaced his water he drank and drank, the days after he started peeping and eating, so I returned him to the flock. I did keep him warm also.
Good luck with your lovely hen, I also tried soft crumble and yogurt but he wouldn’t eat it.
