sick Hen, I think its roundworm. Could use some help

You do not want to give anything in the water until you finish the Corid. Your best bet would be to worm with Valbazen or the SafeGuard. But if you want to use the Wazine, you will need to stop the Corid for 24 hours, and that won’t help if she has coccidiosis. You can get a small tube of SafeGuard Equine or horse paste for around $10 that you could give orally. Dosage is 1/4 ml per pound, so a 5 pound hen would get 1 1/4 ml.

Garlic and onion products (especially onions) are not that good for chickens in large amounts.

I will get some safeguard Probably tomorrow.
thank you for helping me.

Garlic is ineffective in treating large roundworms. Here's a study regarding garlic vs flubendazole, a wormer sold in Great Britain to treat worms. Flubendazole is an excellent wormer. Valbazen and Safeguard are preferred wormers. Wazine acts as a large roundworm flush, it'll clear out large roundworms in no time.

She seems a little better today, we moved her to her own coop today and she was in her sunroom scratching and she made noise when I went to see her. I got some safeguard horsepaste today, how should I give it to her?

You need an oral syringe (no needle). Some pet stores have them, feed stores often do, Tractor supply has them. My Tractor Supply has them down to 3cc/ml size, which will work for this. Draw up the correct amount, put in the front of her beak (pull down on her wattles and her beak will open) no more than .5cc/ml at a time and let her swallow it, repeat until entire dose is given. That's how I do it. It's easier if you have a helper to hold her while you dose her, but you can also do it alone.

Thanks for all your help everyone. I treated the hen, Chickso with SafeGuard horse paste and she recovered! She is now living in the coop with all the other chickens and doing great!
Thanks again, I wouldn't have been able to treat her without your help.
