Sick hen - lash, shakes head, and won't eat very much HELP!!!

You may not see signs of worms but that doesn't mean she doesn't have worms. Has she ever been dewormed? If not I would put that on the to-do list after you run a course of Corid.

My flock has never been wormed but I will defiantly do that after I treat them for cocci. I just got some Amprolium which was all I could find or I would have got the corid.


Also she is not laying, she hasn't since the last time she got sick and I figure she will never lay again because of the lash she passed.

I have noticed with her the last few days is that every time she takes a drink of water I hear a gurgle noise in her stomach does that mean anything to anyone??? She still isn't really eating or drinking very much

To wrap this thread up I thought I would give a last post to let everyone who reads this know that my poor little barred rock passed away last night

she gave a good fight but whatever was wrong with her was more serous then what I could treat her for. RIP Lucy.
