Chirping
My 8 month old Buff Orpington is sick. She has been "off" for a couple of days, but I didn't realize she was sick until yesterday.
Symptoms- lethargic, listless, staring off, not eating (but drinking a ton), not pecking, not roosting, not laying eggs, not pooping much. I think 2 nights ago she laid a shelless egg while roosting (it had been eaten when I cleaned the poop tray but I saw the sac, no shell remnants so I think there wasn't a shell).
I checked to see if she was egg bound but didn't feel anything. Her crop is really squishy, and when I picked her up, a ton of water came out with a few blades of grass and a few bugs. No chicken feed.
No sign of mites, lice, worms, bumblefoot. Loose watery poop.
She is in isolation with feed and water. I tried to give a hard boiled egg but she won't eat.
Any advice? This is my first sick hen. Thanks!
