Sick hen undigested grain in poop, weak legs, skinny

She passed away just before I got home from work today. She looked like she was lying in the sun.
I am so sorry.
If you want to know exactly what was going on you can refrigerate her body and ship it to your state lab for a necropsy. It drive it there if it's close.

What state are you in?

It does, I checked, but it's a 2-2 1/2 hour drive each way and I can't go until at least Friday, so...I think I'm going to let her RIP. I'm confident that it's not something contagious as she had difficulty with egg development after her first year laying and I'm told that can also be a liver or kidney related problem.
On a brighter note, I think I'm going to get two chicks this weekend. Thank you for your support.

You can ship the bird.
U believe they even will let you use their FedEx account to do so.

I highly recommend a necropsy before you bring new birds home. Some diseases stay around in your soil for a long time. I'd hate for you to lose new birds by not knowing what you are dealing with.
