My hen is a white leghorn who's close to a year old. We found her in the coop limping around, and when we picked her up, we saw that her right toe was huge and swollen as was a bit of her foot. Immediatly we took her in and tried to treat her toe. We picked at it a bit. Cleaned it and wrapped it. That's been almost five days ago, and she's not looking better, infact she's looking worse. She eats and drinks a bit if I put it in front of her. If I try to get her to walk a little, she'll just lay down. Her comb is turning blueish, and her skin looks pale. She sounds wheezy. Her toe and foot are the same. And feels hot to the touch. Which I know means it's infected
. It also came across my mind if this could be bumble foot and not a broken toe at all. I'm truely very worried. I feel like she's on the verge of death. Please, please help. Thank you for your time.
And also, I'm worried one of my other hens might have gape worm, do you think this could be plaguing my sick hen too?
