Sick hen

Then I found these, are they lice?
Thanks. Her crop is not full. Can lice make her I'll like this?
You found lice - use a Permetrhin based poultry spray or dust to treat her and the rest of your flock. Clean out your coop and treat it as well. Repeat in 10day intervals a couple of times to get rid of all that hatch.

Lice will not make a chicken throw up green stuff. If you can take a stool sample to your vet for testing that would be a good idea.

Most lice species are a nuisance to the chicken, they feed on the skin flakes and waste material in the feathers. However, body lice can cause irritation to the skin and spread disease. It's hard to identify the species by the photo. Some lice can cause death in young birds, and they do spread through the flock. So they need to be dealt with.

Lice can be present in birds that are already ill, because the bird's resistance is low, due to illness. But, when a chicken regurgitates green contents from the crop, this can be putrid plant material that has sat too long in the crop or proventriculus. You may also see undigested green material, and/or seed, in the chicken's poop. I don't know what the white substance can be, but, it doesn't sound right.

I would treat for yeast in the digestive system first. If the bird does not show even slight improvement after 1 day of treatment, then, there can be a blockage somewhere in the digestive system. A blockage can be due to disease or something the chicken swallowed.

It can take anywhere from 2 to 3 days for a chicken to recover after treatment begins for yeast. The chicken should be put into a hospital crate with water/electrolytes, in order to medicate and monitor progress. As the yeast die off, the chicken should start to poop mostly solid. Once the chicken digestive system appears to be clearing, then, you can feed her a very small meal of wet mash. Observe the chicken's progress.

It's not uncommon for a chicken to be ailing from multiple things, especially older chickens. So treat each symptom to give her at least some relief.

You may need an avian or exotic animal vet to help you if you aren't able to diagnose and treat the digestive problem.

I sincerely hope and pray she recovers.

God Bless :)
