This morning I went out to check on our five hens. By this time of day they are all out running around. But, one hen was still inside on their perch with her hand down, eyes closed and mucus running down her beak. There seems to be no injury or signs of any trauma. I gave her water and she seemed to swallow it. After more water, she got up walked alittle and pooped. Now she is laying down with her eyes closed not moving at all with more mucus build up.
The mucus things kinda makes me think she ate something she shouldn't have?? I really have no clue. It has been really hot here, too!!
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
