I normally inject Tylan, as it's effect is much faster that way! By the time your chickens are noticably sick, they're usually REALLY ill! If I'm going to treat, it always pays to be aggressive, and try to nip whatever is going on QUICKLY!!!
 
I agree with Wolfpak, injecting is more quicker and effective. However, there are situations that tylan injectable given orally may be required.
Dosage is 1/2cc for standard size birds, 1/4cc for smaller birds such as bantams, chicks by tenths of cc's. Dose orally once a day for 5 days but no more than 7 days only if necessary. It takes longer for the tylan to absorb and become effective in their system when given orally.
