One of my hens that has been in the flock for over 4 months is acting funny, she stands there and opens her beak kinda gasping or almost sneezing. Her eyes are clear she is eating and out scratching with the other birds and other than the gasping thing she appears healthy. Should I treat her with antibiotics? I am thinking it is a respratory issue. Any help and advise is appreciated thanks.

yes I'd also treat her with a antibiotic that's geared for respiratory. like tylan50. dose I'd as follows; large bird 1/2cc small bird 1/4 cc once daily for 5 days. tylan 50 packs a good punch for respiratory issues.you can buy it at feed store in cattle section.DONT worry it says for cattle please many MANY poultry owners use it including myself! its great stuff and choice for respiratory issues. you should see improvements in a couple of days. this stuff is really good! sometimes injection is best when they are ill.you can control the dose better than water soluble antibiotics. I'm sorry she is ill . this should really really help. if she were mine I'd do the same. best of luck and hope this is helpful to you!
