Sick hen

Egg binding may not even be the issue, have you checked for any crop issues? If she does not start to eat,you might want to consider tube feeding, birds can only go so long without food before their body starts to shut down. Did you look at link for vent gleet? Vent gleet can be either bacterial or fungal. Have you opened up her beak to check for anything unusual in mouth?

I checked her crop and it is just full of water feels like to me...can't smell anything bad. but I am sick with a cold too.. I only put her in the tub on a towel so if any of the vinegar and water come back out it wouldn't get in the carpet I put 3 syringes of water and vinegar in her vent. How much antibiotic should I give her?

Has she pooped lately?

Was she fine yesterday?

Did you read up on vent Gleet just to be sure she isn't dealing with that? Although what you described sounded like egg stuff that came out. Need to be sure before giving antibiotic as well as her crop is ok.

Her poop had one strand of green the rest was water or clear on the pad I have her on in the cage. I didn't get to watch her long yesterday but I know she hasn't been acting really all the active in a couple days..been so sick myself that I wasn't able to watch them as closely for a couple of days and I am the only one here to take care of them.

Crop feels full of water? Does it feel squishy, could she have sour crop? How long has she been like this? Is her poop green, which can indicate starvation(other than eating grass clippings, etc) White runny poop can also indicate not eating, only drinking.

I just noticed most symptoms today...Just not really sure what I am dealing with so many symptoms..what can I tube feed her with? will a raw egg work? I'm confused as what to treat her for????

If her water filled crop does not empty,i would suspect sour crop. Many on this forum have treated sour crop with Monistat(miconozole)Canesten/lotrimin(both contain clotrimazole). Cut tablet that comes with product into pieces(i believe most have cut into 1/3)and give orally twice a day until all tablets are gone. Search forum for sour crop, you will find all the information regarding these treatments and the success reported.

Note: sour crop can be either bacterial or fungal.

No to ACV for sour crop, can cause more of a problem.

Yes,it is possible that the cold is causing some stress to her. Keep her inside for a couple of days to monitor her for any unusual issues. Make sure she eats/drinks and is pooping normal, egg laying would also rule out any binding issues. If she is inside, make sure she has access to grit.
