so my wife and i have started our own flock and we have our 6-8 week old chicks of all different breeds in a 8x12 shed. we recently noticed that we had 3 chickens that are acting funny (fluffed up not eating, drinking, very lethargic ) we brought them inside gave them scrambled eggs, electrolytes , and food. they showed a little improvement until today when one died. the only thing that has changed for the chicks from day 1 is we started fermenting their feed. we are not sure if they are sick from some disease or if it is bullying and causing the birds to have failure to thrive? thank you for the help.

It could be coccidiosis. Corid or amprollium from the feed store is the treatment. Dosage is 2 tsp (10 ml) of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days as the only source of water. If your vet will perform a fecal float test on some fresh droppings, they should be able to see an overload of coccidia. If you pr state vet could do a necropsy of the dead body, you could get a diagnosis. Sorry for your loss. This link shows the internal organs of a chicken with coccidiosis:
