Sick or Injured 3 week old chick - what could the problem be?

No trembling except for one chick once, briefly. The description does sound consistent with my situation otherwise. :( I suppose we will have to put down the other sickies if there's no improvement after Corid and vitamins.

Is the encephalomyelitis vaccination readily available? Maybe we can wait till our survivors are of age then bring in more chickens 8-9 weeks old and get the newbies vaccinated.

Kind of glad it doesn't scream Marek's though ...

Update - we are down to three chicks now. Two of the three are sick - one of them, the barred rock who was the second to get sick. She actually seems to be recovering. Not sure if we should go ahead and cull or keep going until we're sure they're not going to recover.

Oh, so sorry that this is still happening. Here are 2 different links to get your state vet contact information. I would try both, and see about a necropsy. It would really be good to find the exact cause, so you would know what to do. Thank you for the update and here are the links: http://agr.wa.gov/FoodAnimal/AnimalHealth/statevets.aspx
