Sick pea hen laying eggs need help

I have 1 out 4 hens started to lay and now laid her second egg, prior to which I noticed her very unstable on her feet almost falling over. I had her separated as she is the runt and the others pick on her and ate her first egg but for whatever reason she broke her own second egg and ate it , she wanted out so out she is but she is even weaker then before it seems. Her eyes are heavy and it seems she is dazed and drifting in out of consciousness so I worried I got a real sick pea hen that could affect the others. Anyone recognize whats possibly wrong and what to do if I need to medicate her and if so what do you recommend ?

I'm not extremely versed in peas but what is she eating?
If they are eating their eggs, likely one broke from a thin shell and then they learned how good they taste and continue to eat them, especially if they need more protein.

I feed them sunflower seeds, shelled corn, 33% protein sportsmix dog food, cantelope, apples, collard greens, hot dog buns for treats, the hean just layed another egg in front of me, Ive covered it with some hay lightly and put a bucket over it till it hardens up. The two white shoulders are just mean and terrorize her so much Im thinking about getting rid of them both and just keeping the India blue hens

Can you ake her to a vet? So many things can be wrong, it really would be best to have a vet look at her.

If you can't take her to a vet can you post pictures of her poop, and a video of her?

What do you mean by "till it hardens up"? The egg? The egg should be hard, if it's not hard, your hen might be hypocalcemic (low calcium). Laying hens really do need a proper diet with the correct amount of calcium, phosphorus, D, E, etc.

I was misinformed about eggs having to harden up once first laid. Unfortunately the 3rd egg was soft shelled so I scrambled it up with 18 more and feed it to them all. She is doing fine now and back to normal as another hen is now about to lay and acting the same but she is not as bad as the runt was acting. The only vet around is out of town for two weeks. Ive been trying to get a sample of her poop but no luck so far. I did mange to get a sample of the first hen laying which was semi solid with some watery liquid around it white in color. Im guessing it is like you said a lack of proper nutrients and calcium. Im doubtul its worms or a parasite as they were just treated with Safe guard twice a few weeks ago and 5 weeks before the last. They all got plenty of meds Im positive and all turds have been normal up until now. I will try to get some pics of poop next to compare with others posted here.

My second hen laid her first egg sometime after I went to town about 2pm, it was tan, but again soft shell and broke , not sure how the yolk looked but the shell was not as soft as the first hens egg. They all are eating the oyster shell and added nutrient filled feed so hopefully in a couple days perhaps I may get a good egg ? Thanks for every ones help hope to post a whole egg sometime by fall.

It's not about just calcium, it's about the correct amount and ratio of calcium, phosphorus, D, E, etc. Might be a good idea to get a a lay pellet or crumble and get them started on that ASAP. Might also want to give each one a human calcium and D tablet orally for the next few days. The ones I use are 500 mg calcium, which is about right for a mature peahen.

I believe the crumbled is what I first got them just didnt know what it was called, which the woman who runs the local feed n grain said it was for egg building when I told her my dilema with soft eggs she said its got a mix with calcium and nutrients and protein. I got a 50lbs bag and spread it out in several piles ( not all 50lbs ) and places to stop the fighting for food that may have also been happening , I got oyster shell crumble earlier today and spread it out everywhere also in the piles and such containers and this seems to be working as far as less fighting and pecking over food. The oyster shell they have been devouring to my surprise, I wasnt sure if they would eat it or not. Im not sure I can give each one a pill by hand unless they eat it them selves. Until my girlfriend gets a day off in 2 weeks its just me and getting a hold of one bird is difficult by myself with the others going nuts at the same time. Ive used large towels in the past but just the sight of a towel now they start squacking. Ive got some human calcium pills I could try throwing a few to them but could one eat too much and another not at all. Is it possible to get too much human calcium? They did take right to the oyster shell crumble though and the other crumble both they have been eating a lot of. Im not sure how fast they can metabolize all this before they start to lay again?
