Seems that my female hungarian house pigeon is a bit under the weather today. her appetite seems good. She's got acess to grit, and oyster shell. Yet she seems to have lost a bit of weight, and has some trouble getting ip. And also has some trouble getting up onto her roost. I am going to isolate her, and give her some tums. She hasn't laid any eggs yet, and doesn't seem to be egg bound. No respiratory infections, ruffled feathers, bumble foot, or any other signs of infections. would it be wise to give her a bit of baytril or terramyacin if she doesn't improve? I did notice a bit of 'water' around her vent area.

Any suggestions on how to make her feel better would be apprecaited.

The only other thing i can figure is that the male she is with may be pushing her away from her food a bit. Cause he loves to waste it.

She hasn't been wormed since I got her. I didn't know you could worm them. If its worms can you use ivermec? Cause I do have some horse paste that I give the rabbits.

I think I know what the problem was. She did lay an egg just after i checked on her. And was still wobbly, but feeling a bit better. So may be some calcium issues going on with her. Gave her some tums for it. She wasn't very happy with me. lol.

She's a beautiful bird(brown and white), and her mate is a handsome boy (has coloring similar to the grey homers). So hopefully we'll be seeing some baby house pigeons around here soon.

Ill try the wazine to be on the safe side. Would it be wise to worm them while they nesting?
