Hi there, I've got a sick pet button quail, Kiwi. I noticed the other day that she was oddly allowing me to pet her, didn't think anything of it until yesterday when I noticed that she is having trouble walking. She can flop around, but mostly sits there. She seemed sleepy and droopy yesterday and I gave her some Nutridrench and probios in her water and she's perked up, eyes brighter. But still no walking. It's not like she' completely immobile, and I believe she is eating and drinking. I isolated her in a small cage in side the big cage. She doesn't have any wounds. We have four quail total, they are on aspen shavings and fed game bird crumbles plus a nice salad every day. They regularly calcium.
At the end of August we lost her mate to what I thought was ulcerative enteritis (based on googling, but we only just got quail in June, so I am very new to this). I brought a fecal sample to the vet and he didn't find anything and said it was most likely a virus. While waiting for the sample to come back I put Corid in her water for 5 days. Kiwi made it through,
