Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
My one year old RIR hen is sick. She has lost weight, has diarreah, her comb is a purplish red and she is very weak. I have not been able to see her eat but usually has layer crumbles and cracked corn. Up untill a week ago, they were all running free but since the two 9 month old puppies came, they have been penned except for an hour or so at night, just before they roost. Any ideas?
