When I came home from the weekend my 2 month old rooster was acting different. His wing was droopy, not great balance, not moving around much and hasn’t crowed all day :( I have brought him inside to Separate him from the others Incase it’s a contagious disease. He will literally stumble over his drooping wing. I don’t know where to start to get him feeling better or to figure out what’s wrong with him! I was going to start by adding vitamins!

Do you have other cockerels or a rooster who may have hurt him? Was he vaccinated for Mareks disease? Is one leg weaker than the other? If a short video of him walking and can post it to YouTube with a link posted here, that would be helpful. Is there any way he has been kept from eating and drinking by others? Let us hope it isn’t symptoms of Mareks, but that can cause drooping wing or limpness of a leg. Injury or dehydration should also be considered. Is he now eating and drinking? Some electrolytes in his water or Gatorade would be helpful. Here is some reading about Mareks:

Thank you for all of the tips! I will contact the farm I got him from! He is the only cockerel and I have have 3 other hens, they have plenty of space and haven’t noticed anyone fighting to get food... I brought him in for the night and he ate food but didn’t drink much water. I will see if I can get a video up!
