Sick rooster - Sour Crop? Worms? Help!

He's inside so I know it's not frostbite. When he's not feeling well his comb can turn slightly purple so I think that's what it is. Tonight I'm going to try to give him some chick grit and veggie oil to loosen up his crop. I'm also trying a epsom salt treatment I found on here. I was hoping for someone that has experience and proven treatments so I know I'm doing the right treatment.

If you are still having a hard time getting him to eat, you can try making a medicated mash for him and feed it through a large syringe.

I've been doing that but lately I've just been struggling to give him the medicated water.

Well last night I tried to "vomit" him and it went ok. I stopped after the first time because I was worried about his breathing but I was curious because it wasn't green like you'd normally see. It was a yellowish color.
*Sigh* back to the drawing board. Does anyone have any ideas what he has. I'm worried that if he doesn't recover soon that he's going to starve. I tried to feed him this morning but he couldn't even keep down the medicated water.

Hi! I'm sooooooo sorry no one really answered!!!!!!! I don't know how to link so type this in on your search bar on BYC ,"sour crop CURED with monistat". That is proven to work by the op. She never could cure her chicken and got desperate and tried this. It cured her!!!!! I'd contact @robinwiththechickens first though! Best of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've tried almost everything I could find to treat his sour crop but nothing is working. He's so weak now I'm worried to try anything else. I'm trying to give him yogurt and grit which he ate a little and the epsom salt water while I'm finishing the treatment but I'm feeling like there's nothing else I can do for him.

Does anyone know the best way to make a chicken gain weight?

I think that there are Comercial chicken weight supplements that you can get. Make sure that his diet has a lot of fats and proteins.

OK, I'll have to look for them. He's been doing better today. He ate some rice pudding and yogurt with grit in it so that was good. He lost a little weight but that's because he hasn't been eating very well. His craw was slightly emptier today then normal so I'm hoping that the grit is doing the trick but I don't want to get my hopes up.
