Sick Rooster.

Hi all, Thank you for adding me to your site. Ive had chickens for awhile now and generally there all in good health, but my favourite SL Wyndotte rooster 'Shrek' is unwell and after reading up I suspect Mareks disease. He's unbalanced, shakey on his legs, comb n wattle although quite rosey yesterday seem a bit bluish today. Flaps his wings and nearly falls over, eats n drinks sitting down and feels quite skinny, as standing nearly topples over. Standing he rocks back and forwards. Walks like a drunken sailor. Ive isolated him from the others and crowing seems to be a effort. I live country and not easy acsess to a vet. Thanks.

Mareks usually causes paralysis, I would be looking at stuff like moldy feed or moldy bedding, those will cause sudden uncoordinated behavior.
