Sick Rooster!

I agree with WR, that I would not use the copper sulfate that you have, but only use the acidified copper sulfate in the pictures she posted. Those are sold by Jefferespet and some hatcheries. I think you are only supposed to use either metronidazole or the other. Copper sulfate can be very toxic, and some claim that it hasn’t worked in curing canker. It has been recommended here by some oldtimers in preventing canker, when used 3 days a month (1/4 tsp per gallon of water.)

So my wife ordered API general cure. it has metronidazole 250mg in it. It comes in powder packs. Do y'all have any idea if this will work or how to mix it?

If he weighs 1 pound, he will only need 50 mg daily, but split the dosage in two 25 mg doses every 12 hours. You can mix it into yogurt or similar in a syringe.
I just noticed in the first pics that he has a couple of spots on his comb. Is that from being pecked, or possibly fowl pox scabs? Wet fowl pox can also cause the yellow patches inside the beak. Have you seen mosquitoes out in your Louisiana climate?

We gone through fowl pox already with a different flock. I don't think that is it. No mosquitos with the cold weather. It came out to a lil less than an 1/8 of a teaspoon. We mix with a lil water and gave it to him with a dropper in the mouth. Do you think that is too much at once?

So we just finished giving his second dose and he already looks better. The smell is almost gone completely. He is drinking and eating. His poop has turned a shade of Brown instead of green and it's solid not liquid. I really appreciate everyone's help. I plan on posting a picture tomorrow evening. The sores have reduced also. :D Hopefully it's not too early to celebrate.
