Sick Rooster?

Yesterday I noticed that our rooster was making a very different sound when he was crowing. It sounds as if he has lost his voice, like laryngitis. Any noise is a high pitched squeak or nothing at all. Is this something to be concerned about? This is the only thing different about him. He is otherwise acting normally, eating normally and drinking normally. Thanks.

Sounds like something respiratory going on. I would put him on some antibiotics.

What kind of antibiotic do you recommend? We just went and checked on him and he is wheezing a lot. However, he still doesn't have any discharge from his eyes.
