Sick Roosters

i have a purple orpington rooster and he has these bumps or little tumors around his eye. It’s not fowl pox. Then I noticed he would lose his balance some. He’s kind of listless. He is eating and drinking. Now the rooster next to him who is a lavender Orpington, is losing his balance. He doesn’t have any bumps around his eyes. Both are about three to four years old. What could be wrong?

Uh... how on earth did that get posted three times? In the meantime, try feeding him a nutrient rich treat like no-salt added scrambled egg, or some vitamins.

Lol! It doesn’t look like any fowl pox that I’ve seen. I’ll try the eggs for both. Thank you for all your help!!

Does his eye seem to have drainage in it? It looks a bit like he has conjunctivitis. The black spots may be from pecking wounds. Sometimes it is hard to tell fowl pox from peck wounds, but it doesn’t look like pox to me. Do you have active mosquitoes out now? Do you see any sneezing, lethargy, or crackly breathing? Cannyou clean his eye and apply some Terramycin ointment or Neosporin into the eye twice a day? MG can cause eye bubbles, and respiratory symptoms. MG can be treated with some antibiotics such as Tylan 50 injectable, oxytetracycline and others.
