I posted last week after doing alot of reading on what could be wrong with my hen. She had a very swollen/fluid filled belly. I had one response and said she may be eggbound. I had thought so to but after checking the vent on numerous times I still did not find any trace whatsoever of eggs, shells or anything (except poo). I took her to the vet thinking that she had an egg blocked up further or laying internally. The vet said that she drained 2 pints of fluid from her belly and it was clear so there is no sign of any egg being stuck. She said that clear fluid could mean one of two things. 1. Heart problems (which she said her heart sounded just fine. and 2) cancer.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
