Hi I desperately need some help and advice
One of my Silkie chicks is all hunched and fluffed up, bit lethargic, poopy butt, eating very small amounts and just picking at food. I’ve given water with harkers coxoid for a couple of days and tried giving some via dropping o to beak, its Mostly shaking it off and only drinking a very tiny amount. It’s under the heat plate and I would say crying. Anyone have any ideas what’s going on? Should I continue with treatment or add/ replace with anti biotics? I’m in the uk so no proper chicken vets or over the counter injectable treatments. I really don’t want to loose it , thanks

Does she have any blood in her poop? Can you try to give some of the more concentrated Coxoid orally with a dropped twice a day, to see if that boosts her? Make sure to pick up droppings and keep her bedding as dry as possible. Sorry that she is so sick. If she has bloody poop, your regular vet might be able to give sulfa antibiotic or toltrazuril. Those are good if she has a really bad strain of coccidia.

No blood, I can give her coxoid stronger by syringe and see if that helps. Thank you
