I have a silkie that is suffering from vitamin deficiency. She went from fully paralyzed from the wings down, then she had movement again, but now she stop moving again. I've been giving her selenium and it seems to help. I'm just wondering how long did people have to treat their chicken in a similar case as this? And did anyone have so many ups and downs? Also what else can I try to get her back to normal? At first her poop was runny and unhealthy but it's completely normal.

Silkies are prone to vitamin deficiencies. I’d treat treating with vitamins for a couple weeks. If there is no improvement, you could be dealing with Mareks Disease.

Is mareks contagious? All of my other silkies are fine. This one was also under weight when she got sick. She's been inside now for 18 days. She improves one day then next she back at square one.

Sadly yes, very contagious 😔
